FRANCE STUDY ABROAD

The quality of French education and training is based on a national network of more than 3,500 state and private training establishments and internationally recognized research centers: 85 comprehensive universities. , 224 engineering schools, 220 trade and management schools, 20 architecture schools, 120 art schools. Besides, there are 3000 other training institutions, large schools or training institutes.

85 state-funded public universities are present throughout France. These schools grant national degrees for all levels of education: University, Master’s and Doctorate and train all majors while ensuring uniformity in educational quality. The university’s lecturers are all lecturers-researchers, directly trained in research.

As a unique feature of France, large schools were established in parallel with the university system from the beginning of the 19th century. The teaching programs here are specialized programs of high quality and very rigorous entrance selection. Major schools grant Bac+5 degrees equivalent to state-recognized Master’s degrees. Types of training include science and engineering, commerce and management, administration, defense, higher education, postgraduate education and research, especially at pedagogical schools, but also at agronomy and veterinary medicine.
